Walking The Red Carpet

These unnamed cascades are in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Earlier, high water removed the fallen leaves to the left and right of the center foreground. Now one can walk up the remaining red carpet to begin an ascent with style. However, walking one more step in the downstream direction would send one over a waterfall. That reminds me that I need more "safety equipment." A more wide angle lens would have prevented me from crowding the edge too much.
