Blue Heron Fashion Show

The blue heron in the foreground made me wish the debate I had with myself earlier about whether to bring a telephoto lens with me had ended differently. I was taking wide angle photos of Cumberland Falls when this bird started walking it's fashion runway and seemingly demanding that I take it's photo. It turned one way as if to say, "do you think this is my best side?" Then it turned the other way as if to say "how about this pose?" Finally I relented, zoomed in (as much as I could with the lens I currently had available), and got a tiny shot of this beautiful waterfowl. Three cheers for the bird!
