Trail With A View
The following two photographs are of this same delightful waterfall. For each of those I attempted to isolate a pocket of beauty to feature the best look for the particular season (early spring or midsummer). This photograph also shows more of the beautiful surrounding forest. This is Bear Creek Falls as viewed from above, beside the Nathan McClure Trail in the Daniel Boone National Forest.
I've enjoyed visiting this waterfall five times within the last four months. On one other occasion I explored the forest service roads in the area on my dual sport motorcycle. Once I took a route which required me to dismount about 15 times to clear a path. Usually I was able to move young fallen trees just enough for passage. Once I kicked chunks out of a large rotten log until I created a slot large enough for my motorcycle to pass through. What an adventure!
