Iron Oxide Decor

It isn't unusual to see orange streaks near waterfalls in the Daniel Boone National Forest. However, it is unusual to see so much orange covering the ground and rocks underneath a rock shelter. I presume the texture of the ceiling is causing most of the iron oxide laden water to drip, rather than run along the surface. This is Uppermost Campbell Branch Falls in Laurel County, Kentucky.
